Pim started photography when he was 18. He became a renowned photographer and travelled the world for his advertising jobs over his 30 year career. When he was not working for advertising agencies Pim liked to shoot photos for his personal archive. In contrary to advertising Pim hardly used postproduction on these images, at most some minor adjustments in saturation, brightness or contrast but never adding or taking anything from the picture. He liked to share his observations and he seemed to shoot photos of the world around us that we also see, but don’t take pictures of.
On the 18th of May 2016 Pim Vuik passed away at the age of 53, due to a braintumor.
His wife Katy continues to share Pim’s huge photo archive in loving memory and in honour of his work.
